Sam Bowman is the editor in chief of Works in Progress. He is also a member of the Mercatus Center's board of directors.

He lives in London with his family, and likes cooking, pop music, grand strategy video games, and cats.

Ben Southwood is the executive editor of Works in Progress. He has been head of research at Create Streets, and head of housing at Policy Exchange, been part of three successful Emergent Ventures grants, and worked as a public sector consultant for KPMG.

He lives in South London and is a fan of natural wine, sour beer, ambient music, and cricket.

Saloni Dattani is a founding editor of Works in Progress. She's the author of the newsletter Scientific Discovery, hosts the podcast Hard Drugs, and is an advisor to Coefficient Giving. She has a PhD in psychiatric genetics and previously worked as a project lead on health at Our World in Data.

She grew up in Hong Kong, lives in South London, and enjoys photography, birdwatching, long walks, and museums.

Rachel Edwards is head of operations and events for Works in Progress. She has worked in supervision and policy at the Bank of England, and as an advisor to the Treasury Committee in the House of Commons.

She lives in East London and likes dancing, hosting dinner parties, and going to the theatre.

Pieter Garicano is the managing editor of Works in Progress. He also writes Silicon Continent, a blog on Europe.

He lives in Washington, DC and likes mountains, Spanish food, and biographies.

Aria Schrecker (née Babu) is an editor at Works in Progress. She has been the head of policy at The Entrepreneurs Network, a senior research fellow at Policy Exchange and she used to run the programming for a secret society.

She lives in West London and likes books written for teenagers, cooking, and playing the piano. Sometimes she writes her blog on birth rates.

Virginia Postrel is an editor at Works in Progress. She has been a columnist for Bloomberg Opinion, The Atlantic, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, edited Reason magazine from 1989 to 2000, and has written four books.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their thousands of books, and is the president of the Southern California Handweavers' Guild.

Samuel Hughes is an editor at Works in Progress. He studied philosophy and began his career as a researcher at the University of Oxford, since when he has worked as a civil servant, a think tanker, and an advisor to the British Government.

He lives in North London and enjoys architecture, politics, history and Baroque music.

Ryan Duffy leads growth for Works in Progress. He has led growth marketing at Medium, built startups backed by a16z and First Round, and been a talent agent in Hollywood.

He lives in West London with his wife and likes old movies, good shawarma, and strong wifi.

Magnús Ingvar Ágústsson is the lead editorial designer of Works in Progress. He studied design in the Netherlands at Design Academy Eindhoven and has worked as a graphic designer in Reykjavík and London.

He lives in South East London and enjoys hardcore and metal music, Magic the Gathering and playing the bass.

Ellen Pasternack is an editor at Works in Progress. She previously worked as a Westminster policy researcher and has a PhD in evolutionary biology.

She lives in London and enjoys hosting parties, cycling, and swimming in lakes and rivers.

Sean Glynn leads commercial and audiovisual for Works in Progress. He started out in magazine publishing, made documentaries about politics and economics for BBC Radio 4, and has since founded companies in health data and podcasting.

He lives in the City of London and likes squash, live poker, tasting menus, and well made things.

Atalanta is the art director at Works in Progress. She studied sculpture and painting, and is represented by Alice Black gallery in the UK.

She lives in London and likes the novels of Penelope Fitzgerald, especially the Beginning of Spring, which is both great literature and features a bear.
